Benefits of Robot Assisted Gynaecological Surgery (RAGS)
We have provided Robot Assisted Gynaecological Surgery, or commonly Robotic Gynae Surgery, to some of our clients in the recent months. Procedures include removal of ovarian cysts, fibroids or myoma of the womb, hysterectomy and excision of pelvic endometriosis. The surgical outcomes are excellent. The main benefits to our clients are:
(1) Performing complicated surgery through minimal access; i.e. with few small sub-centimeters incision, instead of the conventional long wide abdominal cuts.
(2) Reduced pain and discomfort post surgery. The pain level is generally less than that of the traditional key-hole approach.
(3) Less hospital stay because of quicker recovery.
Owing to the positive patient experience, we expect more clients will take up the Robotic Gynae Surgery to better manage many of the surgical conditions. We are more than ready to tap into the latest advanced breakthrough in Robot technology to treat benign tumours and malignant cancer of the womb, complicated ovarian cysts, pelvic endometriosis, urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
